Plano in a Nutshell

While Plano can be seen as a little Metropolis of its own with a population of ever 265,000, it strikes a balance between bustling businesses and a small-town feel, with pockets of small mom and pops and community events throughout the year. 

Plano, Texas is a powerhouse when it comes to offering everything you can dream up in one great city. Located just 20 minutes north of Dallas, Texas, Plano is a prime location for businesses big and small. You’ll find that major corporations like Toyota, JCPenney, Dr. Pepper also call Plano home. 

When it comes to entertainment, you won’t find any shortage of activities. Plano has some of the best retail shopping around, from boutiques to high-end fashion, you’ll find your style at any level. Plano also has some of the best restaurants in the Dallas area, whether you are looking for fine dining in the Shops of Legacy or a locally owned business at the corner next to your new home. 

You’ll find a bit of history in the Railway Museum, great sprawling trails through nature in Arbor Hills and Oak Point Parks, and even a bit of Hollywood at Southfork Ranch all nestled in this great North Texas city we call Plano. 

To top it all off, Plano has been recognized as one of the best school districts in the nation and is known all throughout DFW for the school systems. It also houses one of the best sports programs in the area, specializes in college prep, and offers many vocational programs.
