What: AT&T Byron Nelson

Why: The AT&T Byron Nelson is one of North Texas’ biggest sports attractions and most anticipated social events of the spring. Hosted by Salesmanship Club of Dallas, the tournament has been a premier PGA TOUR event for more than 45 years. Enjoy the ultimate viewing experience on two signature holes: 17 (open-air tent with seating) and 18 (climate controlled interior with covered patio). Both lounges offer cocktails, soft drink and concessions for purchase. Must purchase ticket to enter. 21+ only. Complimentary general parking and shuttle – Highway 114 and Loop 12 (near site of old Texas Stadium) Pavilion After Dark: Located off Champions Way, the Pavilion is open late Thursday through Sunday for mingling, live music and drinks.

What: 33rd Annual Main Street Festival: A Craft Brew Experience
When: Fri. May. 19th – Sun. May 21st @ 10:00AM

Why: Taste new and returning Texas and regional craft beer favorites at the 33rd annual Main Street Fest in historic downtown Grapevine. In addition to a number of craft brew events, there will be beer dinners, keg tappings, live demos with brew masters, music, artisans, a midway and carnival area. The Craft Brew Experience will feature 8 three-ounce pours.

Why: SOLUNA is a festival for Dallas, bringing together international artists with Dallas’s finest arts organizations. Anchored by performances with Jaap van Zweden and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, SOLUNA celebrates Dallas’s rich cultural legacy and diversity of expression..

What: Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival

Why: 25th annual celebration of art, music and wildflowers features music headliners The B-52s, All-American Rejects, Shooter Jennings, Ruthie Foster and Bowling for Soup. It also features children’s activities in the WF! Kids area, artists and vendors in the Wild! Marketplace. Plus, youngsters love to play in the fountain on the fest grounds. Almost Queen, a tribute band, will play each day. There will be 6 performance stages, along with favorite attractions that include the Singer/Songwriter contest, Battle of the Bands and Performers Row.

What: Wild West Watauga Fest

Why: Watauga’s annual street festival features live music, carnival rides, vendors, beer and food trucks, & performances by local arts groups. Free admission & parking. Carnival wristbands give all-day access to rides.

Why: Three-day food festival is a celebration of food, music and fun – featuring pay-per-bite samples from Addison restaurants (most in the $3 to $5 range), live music, chef demonstrations, fun rides and midways games, and a children’s activity area with inflatables, face painting, activities and games for the whole family.

Why: Heralded as one of our country’s foremost comics, Paula Poundstone’s quick-thinking, unscripted approach to comedy makes for a perfect fit as a regular panelist on NPR’s #1 show, the screwball weekly news quiz show Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, where she holds the record for game losses. In 2016 Paula voiced the character “Forgetter Paula” in Disney/Pixar’s Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Inside Out.

Why: Check out pet-friendly exhibitors and rescue groups, see live demonstrations in obedience training, pet care and activism, great giveaways and prizes, amazing discounts on your favorite pet products, talent and costume contests, fabulous retailers. It’s fun for the whole family. Plus shopping, adoptions, free nail trims, discounted vaccinations, agility and more. Free parking and admission. Bring your pet.

What: Taste of Irving
When: Sat. May, 20th & Sun. May, 21st @ 12:00PM – 6:00PM
Where: Cimarron Park

Why: The event will feature more than 20 restaurants. Several food vendors will fire up their grills for some good old-fashioned comfort food. Admission to the event is free. Each restaurant will sell items from its menu for $5 or less. In between bites, take a walk through the Craft Marketplace. There you’ll find a number of artists selling apparel, artwork, custom jewelry and home décor. For guests wanting to tap into their culinary side, The Art Institute of Dallas will have live cooking demonstrations. Taste of Irving even has an area just for the kids. The Children’s Fun Zone will be packed with face painters, balloon twisters, a climbing wall and a giant slide.

Why: Following the sold-out successes of both its 2014 inaugural run and a fan-demanded sophomore run in 2015, Move Live on Tour, featuring powerhouse duo Julianne and Derek Hough, is back and better than ever in 2017 with an all-new experience – Move – Beyond – Live on Tour. The Hough siblings are promising fans their biggest and best show yet, with brand-new stage production inspired by the elements – earth, wind, fire, and water – which the duo have infused into fresh, high impact choreography that only they can deliver.  The show will bring fans on a journey of dance and music, taking inspiration directly from the four elements as an exploration of the human relationship with nature. The pair will be joined by the Move Company Dancers for group performances in styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hip-hop and everything in between.
