Why: The event will feature more than 20 restaurants. Several food vendors will fire up their grills for some good old-fashioned comfort food. Admission to the event is free. Each restaurant will sell items from its menu for $5 or less. In between bites, take a walk through the Craft Marketplace. There you’ll find a number of artists selling apparel, artwork, custom jewelry and home décor. For guests wanting to tap into their culinary side, The Art Institute of Dallas will have live cooking demonstrations. Taste of Irving even has an area just for the kids. The Children’s Fun Zone will be packed with face painters, balloon twisters, a climbing wall and a giant slide.
