The beginning of the month always has an uptick in cancelled homes on the market. We’re up 2% over the previous week, which is normal for our market. For home buyers, it’s encouraging to see an uptick in inventory for Travis county. We’re seeing that homes priced well and competitively sell quickly. If sellers are reaching too far outside of the pricing for the area, they are sitting and expiring. With so much information at their fingertips, buyers are more educated than ever about what they are willing to pay for a home. This in turn forces us to be competitive in pricing on the seller side.
