This year’s “Glitzmas” themed event will transform Centennial Hall in Fair Park into a luxury gift market place with 180 handpicked merchants from around the country showcasing gifts, jewelry, holiday décor, toys, women’s fashion, linens and original art. Since 1978, Chi Omega Christmas Market has generously distributed in excess of $7.4 million to more than 70 local charities and collegiate scholarships.

Why: NTX Beer Week’s inaugural Lawn Party outside the Omni hotel will feature a toast from Mayor Mike Rawlings and a live broadcast from Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket’s The Hardline show. Brewer’s Ball offers a unique, one of a kind chance to rub elbows with some of craft beer’s elite while enjoying bites from some of the area’s best beer-centric restaurants. What: Fort Worth Parade of Lights

Why: Hundreds of illuminated floats, half-a-million lights, and thousands of people will fill the streets of Downtown Fort Worth for the 34th annual XTO Energy Parade of Lights kicking off the holiday season. Parade goers can see decorated floats, antique cars, marching bands, precision equestrian units, horse-drawn carriages, and groups of carolers celebrating “The Melodies of Christmas” on the 1.58-mile parade route. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be making an appearance on the specially designed, LED-lit, grand finale float. Cowboy Santas will ride around the route collecting toys for kids in need at 5:30 p.m. The parade gets underway at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Belknap and Throckmorton Streets.
