Active homes on the market decreased by 1% this week over last week. This supports our inventory analysis that there are more homes actively participating in the market this year, they are just moving quicker as far as offers go.
What does July 4th week mean for you? As a Seller, if you are thinking of hitting the market or having a price reduction, the two weekends around 4th of July bring a lot of relocation buyers. So, in the next 72 hours, we strongly encourage you to get yoru home on the market or make your price corrections prior to Saturday morning. This will make sure you have two full weekends of increased buyer traffic.
As a buyer, please keep in mind that the 4th of July is actually a slow holiday itself, the weekends and days around it are what typically drive the traffic. Our Showing Company is closed on 4th of July and often Sellers are entertaining or grilling, so it’s harder to physically get into see the houses on the 4th. Make sure you schedule ahead of time if you want to view properties around the 4th of July.
